Starting in Rovinj, this ride follows gentle trails through picturesque landscapes toward the Limski Kanal. Here, riders can pause to take in the views and even sample fresh oysters. After the break, the journey then winds back toward Rovinj, passing ancient sites that tell stories of the past. The ride concludes in Rovinj’s enchanting old town, where winding streets, Venetian-style architecture, and a vibrant harbor create a perfect ending to the day.
The ride starts with a scenic journey south of Pula, following coastal trails through lush nature and breathtaking sea views. The route leads to Cape Kamenjak, a protected nature park famous for its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and winding dirt trails. Here, we ride some of the most exciting singletracks, curving along the rugged coastline with the Adriatic always in sight. After an unforgettable loop around Kamenjak, we make our way back to Pula, where the old city core awaits, showcasing its ancient Roman history, including the impressive Pula Colosseum, a remarkable landmark that stands as a testament to the city’s past.
We start in Poreč, a coastal town with charming streets, colorful buildings, and the UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica. From here, we head out on a ride along the coast, enjoying the crisp sea air and panoramic views. As we venture inland, the scenery shifts, with rolling vineyards and olive groves guiding the way. Soon, we enter the forests, where some of the best flowy singletracks in the region await, winding through the trees and offering a thrilling ride. We loop around the local MTB hill, St. Bečić, before making our way back to Poreč, where the cobbled streets and ancient buildings provide the perfect finish to an unforgettable day.
We start in Labin, a hilltop town offering breathtaking views of the surrounding islands of Cres and Lošinj. As we ride through scenic trails, we’re surrounded by lush landscapes and the sparkling sea in the distance. Heading toward Rabac, we explore a trail park with trails that descend toward the sea, some trails finishing right at the water’s edge, offering a perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning coastal views. It’s a ride that combines adventure, natural beauty, and a peaceful beachside finish.
We ride into central Istria, often called the “land of truffles,” where the rich, fragrant forests offer the perfect environment for these local treasures. Our journey takes us to Motovun, a hilltop town with sweeping views of the Mirna River valley and a blend of medieval charm. We then head to Grožnjan, an artsy village known for its cobbled streets and stunning vistas. From there, we join the Parenzana trail, a historic railway path that now winds through the beautiful Istrian countryside, looping back to our starting point for a full-circle adventure.
On the final day, it’s time to pack up and prepare for the journey home. For those with some extra time, there’s an optional excursion to a nearby National Park. Afterward, we head to the airport or continue on our way back, reflecting on the experiences of the tour.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the ideal period to book a tour in Istria?
The ideal period to visit Istria runs from April to October, offering mild weather suited for outdoor fun. May and September are favorites among travelers because of their pleasant temperatures and lower crowd levels. Many tend to avoid July and August because of the heat.
What kind of accommodation and meals can I expect during the tour?
Guests stay in carefully chosen bike-friendly hotels to ensure a comfortable experience. The Mediterranean location means the food is fantastic—so good, in fact, that many guests say they miss the meals more than the trails after the tour ends. Most packages include half board (breakfast and dinner), while lunch is up to you—whether it’s at a local restaurant or a picnic in nature.
Should I bring my own bike, or can I rent one?
While you can bring your own bike, renting is often more convenient. We work with a trusted supplier to select the right bike for you, which will be ready and waiting at the start of the tour. During the trip, the bikes stay with you at the hotel and are available whenever you need them. Please note that the cost of bike rental is an additional fee on top of the starting tour price.
What equipment should I have with me?
Our experienced guides carry all the essential bike repair tools, including allen keys, puncture kits, pumps, and more. They also bring a first aid kit for your safety. If you’re used to bringing your own tools or gear, you’re welcome to bring them along.
Regarding equipment, wearing a helmet is mandatory, and body protection is highly recommended depending on the style of tour you choose. Drinking water is available throughout Istria and is generally safe and easy to access.
How long does a typical cycling day last?
While we offer set tour itineraries, we always customize them to suit the group’s preferences. A typical cycling day lasts between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the route and if a shuttle to the starting point is included. Keep in mind that the shuttle can add some extra time to the overall day. The schedule usually includes regular breaks for rest, meals, and sightseeing, making the pace enjoyable and flexible.
What if I come across a part of the trail I can’t ride?
The difficulty of the route is chosen together with the group and adjusted to match the average riding level. Since Istria is a well-connected region with many roads and trail options, it’s usually possible to avoid challenging sections and replace them with alternative routes, keeping the ride enjoyable for everyone.
How do I get the final price for the tour?
The final price is provided after we customize your tour based on your preferences, group size, and selected options. Once all details are confirmed, we’ll send you a detailed quote outlining the total cost, including accommodation, meals, bike rentals (if needed), and any additional services. This way, you know exactly what’s included before you book. For a quick response, feel free to reach out to us via the contact form on our website.
